Saturday against Allen East, the Mustangs pressured the Pirates into high amounts of turnovers repeatedly.  BHS could not deal with the physical defense as AE built a 25-13 lead after forcing 18 first half turnovers.  Bluffton also shot just 4/17 from the field in the first half as the lead got into double digits.  Still, the Pirates had a run in them.

A quick 8-0 jaunt to start the fourth quarter got the Pirates to within 33-31 with six minutes to go.  Allen East scored the next seven points of the contest to stretch the lead back out to 40-31 and went on to the victory down the stretch.  Bluffton’s final points of the season were scored by freshman Sami Fruchey on a long jump shot with just seconds left.  Sarah Schriner’s 11 points were a team high, with 10 more coming from Paige Buroker.  Anna Crisp scored 5 and Sierra Amstutz and Bailey Prichard added 4 points each.  Sami Fruchey scored 2 and Katie Palte 1.

After surrendering a 39-34 lead with 90 seconds to go, Sarah Schriner got a running layup to go down with just two seconds left, giving Bluffton a 41-39 Sectional tournament victory over Coldwater.  The junior was high scorer with 15 points, joined in double figures by Anna Crisp's 10 points.
