State ranked Pandora beat up on beat up Bluffton 60-34 Saturday night in Pandora.  The Pirates entered the game with just five of the regular varsity squad healthy and called up the entire JV roster to help fill some minutes.  Jaime Lugibihl was lost for the season in the Ada game with a wrist.  The senior played through the fourth quarter with the injury.  Taylor Wenger could possibly be back this week after suffering from the lingering effects of a concussion.

The teams battled through an even first quarter before Pandora pulled away.  Bluffton jumped out to an 11-7 lead with a minute left in the first quarter on a Sarah Stratton three point play.  But then PG took over, going on a 17-0 run mainly behind the play of junior standout Stephanie Recker.  Mariah Welch ended the drought with two free throws but PG ended the half on an 11-1 jaunt and led 35-14 at the half.  Pandora extended their lead to 48-25 after three quarters and went on to the 60-34 victory.

Mariah Welch had 10 points to lead the Pirates, who played their third game in five days.  Jaime Lugibihl was lost for the season with a broken wrist.  The girls get a few days off before hosting Columbus Grove Thursday.
